Hallmark’s US anniversary guide associates the 4th anniversary with fruit or flowers traditionally and appliances in its modern list. This is one publisher’s gift convention, not a rule for every country or relationship. A Starmap print does not acquire those materials by marking that year.

Make a shortlist from the ordinary days
Start with three scenes rather than three expensive things. Think of the place where you learned each other’s habits, something you built or tended together, and a recent day you would happily repeat. The strongest choice is often the one that needs the fewest words to explain. A practical appliance can also be a thoughtful gift if it is actually wanted; a household task should not become an assumed romantic obligation.

Write about growth without a borrowed metaphor
Describe what changed
Perhaps the home grew louder, the journey became shorter, or you learned to make space for each other. Choose a concrete detail rather than claiming every year was effortless.
Keep your partner in the sentence
Tell them what being together means to you. “Still finding new corners with you” is one original example; replace it with a phrase that belongs to your own life.
Decide what stays private
The print can hold one line. A letter can explain the decisions, losses or adjustments behind it without making them part of the room’s decoration.
Let the gift sit naturally among their things
Notice whether their room is spare or full, light or dark, and whether there is an actual place for a print. You do not need to recreate the anniversary convention in the colour palette. Keep the dedication and caption in proportion to the available wall, and compare the supported paper sizes before choosing a frame. The exact proof, rather than a styled scene, is where you approve the composition.
Flowers can accompany it, without becoming a promise
If flowers or a shared meal would make the day feel complete, arrange them independently and according to the person’s preferences. No bouquet, fruit basket, appliance, gift note or coordinated delivery is included by this suggestion. When timing is uncertain, explain the planned gift honestly instead of treating a delivery estimate as a guarantee.
