For the person who remembers your beginning
A birth can be one beginning. A homecoming, a journey, the day a family became itself: there are other moments a mother may want to remember, too.
Begin with a memory that belongs to her
Ask which family stories she returns to, and which parts of her own life she likes to celebrate. A mother’s identity is more than the dates of her children’s births. Her own journey, a new home or an achievement can be a meaningful starting point. If another date feels difficult, choose a different memory or another gift; there is no required family milestone.

The idea behind our founder’s gift
In the founder note, Áron describes wanting a gift for his mother that could hold the beginning they shared. That idea became Égboltkép and continues as Starmap Company. The note is his existing account, not a claim that every mother will want the same keepsake. Use it as permission to think personally, rather than as a formula for a family’s story.
From an adult child, or for a new parent?
From an adult child
You can choose a childhood memory, a trip or a day that recognises who she is now. Ask before printing private birth details or other family members’ names. A note about what you remember may matter more than a long list of facts on the poster.
For someone becoming a parent
Check what the family wants to share and when receiving a gift would feel welcome. A first name or a short dedication may be enough. Practical support can be more useful immediately; a keepsake does not have to arrive in the first week.
Several children, without inventing one combined sky
| What you want to include | An honest way to do it | What the sky represents |
|---|---|---|
| One moment the family shares | Choose a homecoming, a trip or another agreed day. | One actual place and instant, not a blend of several birth skies. |
| Each child’s beginning | Consider separate designs if each person wants that, with actual individual moments. | Each sky is its own calculation; check space and exact offered products before planning a group. |
| Names and wishes from everyone | Use a short collective dedication and a separate family letter. | Printed names do not create multiple observation times in one chart. |
One child’s birth need not stand in for the whole family. Ask what feels fair and meaningful rather than trying to solve that choice with a false composite sky.
A dedication the family can help write
Ask for one small memory each
A phrase, a place or an ordinary detail gives everyone a way to contribute without crowding the print. Keep private stories in the family note.
Choose the shared line
Original prompts: “All the ways you made a home.” “For our beginning, and your own.” “The days we keep coming back to.” Rewrite in the family’s voice.
Check the printed details together
Confirm preferred names, accents and the date/time visibility controls. The underlying calculated moment stays private even when its label is hidden from the poster.
Give her a choice about what goes on the wall
A displayed date or full name may be more detail than she wants in a room or in a photograph of her home. The designer separates those printed fields from the observation moment. Review the finished proof together if you can. Measure the intended wall and leave room for her existing photographs; a personal letter or an experience can be the better gift if she does not want more objects.
A family gift, without a required formula
What if there are several children?
Choose a genuinely shared moment, a collective dedication or separate designs with individual actual moments. One sky shows one place and instant; it does not combine several births into a scientifically shared chart.

Yes. A homecoming, journey or a milestone she values can be a thoughtful choice. It does not have to show a child’s birth or even centre on motherhood.

Keep personal details private, try the words and review the final artwork before deciding to order.

It began with a gift
for my mother.

Áron Founder, Starmap Company
I wanted to give my mother something that belonged to us. There was no photograph of the moment I was born, so I began thinking about the sky above it: a way to give a moment back to the person who had been there.
That idea became Égboltkép. In 2020 I shared it on Cápák között, Hungary’s Shark Tank. At its heart was a simple wish: to help someone give a gift that could only have come from them.
Today, that same idea continues as Starmap Company. We make something careful and personal for a beginning, a homecoming, or an ordinary night that became everything. You bring the memory. We help give it a place in your home.
From Égboltkép to Starmap Company. A personal idea, carried forward.
