Three years can be marked by something you chose together: a new home, a change of direction, or the same small promise kept in everyday life.
A convention, if it means something to you
Hallmark’s US anniversary guide associates the 3rd anniversary with leather traditionally and crystal or glass in its modern list. This is one publisher’s gift convention, not a rule for every country or relationship. A Starmap print does not acquire those materials by marking that year.

Remember a choice, rather than inventing a struggle
You do not need to describe every relationship as a test of endurance. Ask which decision made your shared life feel more like yours. It could be moving closer to family, making room for separate interests, or returning to a place you both love. If a difficult chapter matters, let your partner decide whether it belongs on display. A private letter can carry what a poster should leave unsaid.

Both actual digital proofs use Ljubljana, 17 June 2023 at 21:40 local time, the same message and 30 × 40 cm paper format. Only the palette changes. These fictional examples isolate the design choice; they are not physical paper or colour samples.
Choose contrast for the room, not the anniversary label
A midnight surround
It gives the circular reconstructed sky a quieter border and can sit comfortably among darker objects. Check the actual finished proof rather than assuming the darkest screen areas will print identically.
An ivory surround
It gives the same sky a lighter page and more visible negative space. It does not change the calculation, make the sky a daytime view, or imply a special paper stock.
Find a three-year story you would both recognise
Name one choice
Write the thing you actively chose together, without turning it into a list of achievements. “We stayed in that little flat another year” can be enough.
Choose the moment behind it
Use the location and instant that represent that choice. A later milestone can be more personal than repeating the wedding image you already have.
Leave one thought on the wall
Try “In the small things, always you.” The example is original writing inspiration, not a customer quotation. If the sentence could belong to anybody, add one word only the two of you understand.
Let the theme remain a theme
A leather gift or glass object from another maker may fit your partner, but a printed star map is still printed artwork. Do not infer the glazing material from a modern-anniversary association: the exact frame specification needs its own product evidence. An ordinary dinner, a useful repair or time set aside together may be more welcome than an extra object chosen to satisfy the list.
Present the decision, not just the parcel
Write why you selected that moment in a separate note. Measure the intended wall before choosing a size, and ask about style if the home is not yours. Review the actual finished proof for words, local date and composition. Frame options and delivery estimates depend on the selected product and address; an example on this page is not a guaranteed available combination.
